French lessons for children in person (Taunton) or online

Who am I?

My journey with England began 20 years ago, when I came over as an au pair. I fell in love with this country and always dreamed of coming back one day. That experience is also the very reason I became a French teacher: I loved teaching French to the little boy I cared for, and I discovered just how much joy there is in sharing my language.

I returned to France to complete a master's degree in French teaching (Français Langue Étrangère), and over the next 15 years I taught French to both children and adults, in France, Switzerland, China, Austria, and now here in the UK.

I've worked in classrooms and on screens, and I also trained to lead French sign language workshops for parents and babies, as well as philosophy workshops and music initiation for children. Along the way, I went on to complete a second master's degree, this time in instructional design. Every experience has shaped the way I teach today.

Two years ago, my family and I finally made our dream come true by moving to Somerset and we absolutely love our new life in Taunton.

Thanks to my background in instructional design, I create my own materials, my own characters, my own stories. I'm not just a French tutor, I'm an instructional designer. Every lesson has a real learning structure behind it, but from the outside, it just looks like fun.

My approach is playful and gentle: through stories, songs and games, so that children discover French naturally and (I hope) with a smile. Whether your child is a complete beginner, preparing for a move to France, following a homeschool curriculum, or simply curious about the language, the point is always the same: having fun while learning a new language.

I offer French classes for children aged 5 to 10, in person in Taunton, as group sessions or one-to-one, and online from 7 years old onwards.

Classes are kept small (up to 10 children) so that everyone feels comfortable and included.

I would love to share my language and culture with your family.

À bientôt !

Group lessons: parents & children together

Learning a language is so much more fun as a family! In these sessions we learn together, play, sing and do hands-on activities, and parents stay for the whole lesson.

Why? Because when you join in, you can revisit everything together at home afterwards, and your child sees that learning French is a shared adventure.

10-lesson pack: £150

  • Each lesson lasts 50 minutes

  • Children + their grown-up (parent included free)

  • Small groups: 5 to 10 children

  • Sibling discount: −20% on additional child (£120 instead of £150)

A relaxed, playful way to start French together: no experience needed, just curiosity and a bit of fun!

Individual

lessons

Kids don't learn a language by sitting still and repeating words. They learn by doing, playing, wondering, laughing. Games, stories, songs, all built on a real learning structure.

My goal isn't just to teach your child French. It's to show them that learning a language can be fun, so they actually want to keep going.

No two journeys look the same.

I offer private French lessons tailored to their level, age and interests. Lessons are available online or in person in Taunton (Somerset, UK)

Every child is different, so every course is built around them: their passions, their level, their pace.

Lesson format:

Lessons are delivered online (from age 7) or on site if possible (Taunton) and offered in packs (instalments possible).

Available packs:

5‑lesson pack:

  • £160 (5 x 40’)

  • £225 (5 x 1 hour or 10 x 30’).

10‑lesson pack:

  • £320 (10 x 40’)

  • £450 (10 x 1 hour or 20 x 30’)

Before any commitment for private lessons, I offer a free 20-minute conversation, to understand your child's needs, hear your expectations, and make sure we're a good fit.

This session is designed to help the child feel comfortable, see if we work well together. For children, motivation often comes from the relationship with the teacher.

The child’s comfort and willingness to continue are essential, and lessons will only go ahead if the child feels happy and confident working with me.

There is no obligation to continue after it (the packs can be adjusted depending on your child’s need).
