What are the DELF and the DALF?
The DELF and the DALF are the official French language diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education. They cover the six levels of the Common European Framework: the DELF goes from A1 to B2, and the DALF covers the advanced levels C1 and C2. Each level is a separate exam testing the four skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking. Recognised worldwide and valid for life, they prove your level to French universities and employers and add real value to your CV.
Both exams have four papers, each marked out of 25. You pass with 50/100, as long as you score at least 5/25 in every paper.
